Although one early caller expressed pessimism about the potential of No Budget, No Pay, other callers quickly rallied and inspired everyone listening in. As one caller said, "It's better to try than cry."

On March 13, 2012, Gov. Mitch Daniels (R-IN) talked to 20,000 No Labels supporters and endorsed the No Budget, No Pay Act. Citizens from across the country asked Daniels how to ensure America's fiscal future, apply his experience to our movement and restore problem-solving to Washington DC. Daniels said that change needs to come to Washington, and No Budget, No Pay could jar lawmakers into different behavior.
