Partners

No Labels partners with organizations all across America to spread our message of reducing hyper-partisanship in politics and insisting our leaders work across the aisle to deliver the solutions we need to move forward. Read more about our partner organizations below and visit their websites to learn more.

The Coalition for Evidence-Based Policy

The Coalition for Evidence-Based Policy is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to increasing government effectiveness through the study of policy successes and failures. The Coalition says that government programs dealing with social policies are often implemented with little regard for data, leading to wasteful spending. The group seeks to change that by sponsoring research in social policy. A number of bills based on the Coalition’s work have been passed into law.

Jonathan Crane, director for Research for the Coalition for Evidence-Based Policy, is a supporter of No Labels. Mr. Crane has been a senior fellow at the Democratic Leadership Council, a domestic policy advisor to Vice President Al Gore and an assistant professor at the University of Illinois.

The Comeback America Initiative

The Comeback America Initiative (CAI) advocates for fiscal sustainability and responsibility. CAI assists policymakers on a strictly nonpartisan basis to find practical solutions to the imbalances in the American financial system. The organization also engages the public in its search for solutions.

Dave Walker, founder and CEO of the Comeback America Initiative is a No Labels Co-Founder, the former U.S. comptroller general under presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, and the former head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO).

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget

The Committee publishes relevant reports on its website and reviews the news of the day on its blog. The organization also runs projects including U.S. Budget Watch and Stimulus.org, which monitors government responses to the economic crisis.

No Labels supporter Maya MacGuineas is president of the CRFB and has participated in events like the No Labels “Conversation with America” townhall forum with Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz and No Labels Co-Founders John Avlon, Robert S. Kaplan and Lisa Borders.

PolicyMic

PolicyMic is an innovative online platform for political news which merges reporting and social media by encouraging head-to-head debates, opinion pieces, responses to articles and sharing ideas, in addition to original reporting. PolicyMic provides a powerful platform to those who want to share their ideas with others and participate in meaningful conversations about today’s politics.

PolicyMic is a frequent content contributor to the No Labels blog. We are happy to feature articles written by PolicyMic contributors and encourage members of No Labels to become PolicyMic contributors themselves

The Recovering Politician

Jonathan Miller, former Kentucky State treasurer and No Labels co-founder, established The Recovering Politician as a “post-partisan forum, featuring officials who’ve left the arena and lived to write about it.” Miller, along with many other contributors on the site, give their own solutions to America’s issues with interesting articles on a wide variety of topics. The website’s “Weekly Web Gems” also provides links to articles about a particular issue each week.
