No Labels is high-fiving Sens. Jerry Moran (R-KA), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chris Coons (D-DE) and Mark Warner (D-VA) ,who introduced a bipartisan immigration bill in the Senate.
This Thursday No Labels is hosting a town hall teleconference at 7 p.m., with Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) to talk about filibuster reform. Then, next Wednesday we will talk with Gov. Jon Huntsman about how to break the gridlock in Washington.
As Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said on the No Labels radio show on Voice of America this week, the Gang of Six “did come up with a proposal that I think will be a blueprint for the way we have to move forward if we are ever going to get this debt and deficit under control.”
Last night, Gang of Six Senator Mark Warner joined over 300 No Labelers on a conference call to discuss the ongoing debt crisis, and the Gang of Six’s plans for a bipartisan budget. The Senator spoke candidly about working across the aisle in a time of severe hyper-partisanship. While each of the Gang of Six members has a label, they were all willing to put them aside for the sake of America: “We’re willing to take the grief in order to take on the status quo.”
