The primary season is complete, and there is less than two months until the November election. According to a new analysis, candidates who have embraced Donald Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election was stolen have been nominated for state office in 27 states, with a total of 43 election deniers on the ballot for governor, attorney general, or secretary of state.
The winners of these races will have a major impact on how the votes in 2024 are counted — and 12 of these candidates are running in states where the 2020 presidential race was decided by five percentage points or less.
