No Labels has a fresh idea for how leaders in Washington can break through the hyperpartisan gridlock – the National Strategic Agenda. This bipartisan blueprint for America’s future aims to bring both parties together to focus on shared priorities through a collaborative goal-setting process. You can learn more about it here.
We are excited to announce that on Wednesday, June 17th, the National Strategic Agenda will be the subject of a United States Senate hearing. The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has determined this idea warrants their time and consideration. We couldn’t agree more.
Providing testimony at this hearing will be No Labels Co-Chairs Gov. Jon Huntsman and Sen. Joe Lieberman, as well as No Labels Co-Founders Andrew Tisch, Chairman of the Loews Corporation, and Andrea Hogan, CEO of Merchants Metals. They will make the case for the National Strategic Agenda as a transformational idea that can help unite the country, shape the 2016 electoral debate and provide a proven framework for problem solving in the first 100 days of the next administration.
This is an important step forward for the National Strategic Agenda, and speaks volumes to the power of our idea. There are already official resolutions in both the House and Senate supporting the creation of a National Strategic Agenda, and this hearing will help further our legislative progress.
The hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m. in room 342 of the Dirksen Senate office building. It is open to the public, so come and show support if you’re able. If you are unable to attend, the hearing will be streamed online here.
