Allow Health Insurance Purchases Across State Lines
About the Problem
Currently, consumers can buy policies only from insurers licensed by the states where they live and state insurance markets are sometimes dominated by only one or two insurers.
About the Policy
Allow citizens to buy health insurance plans across state lines. By increasing customer choice, this step could increase competition and decrease insurance and overall health care costs.
Polling data derived from three national surveys conducted by Cohen Research Group in February and March 2016. Each survey had a sample size of at least 1,000 registered voters with a margin of error of +/- 3.1%
