No Labels/HarrisX Poll: Voters Want Congress To Take Time To Debate Spending Bill

This week, No Labels/HarrisX surveyed 941 registered voters across the nation on the congressional deliberations on the bipartisan infrastructure bill and the Democratic social spending and climate package (the “reconciliation bill”). The findings show that most Americans want Congress to take time to debate the reconciliation bill, not rush it through without discussion.

The poll found that:

  • 64% of voters are paying attention to congressional deliberations on the bipartisan infrastructure bill and the Democratic social spending plan.
  • Most voters don’t think the social spending and climate reconciliation bill should cost more than $2 trillion.
  • A majority of voters want Congress to spend more time debating the social spending and climate reconciliation bill.
  • 40% of voters say Congress is moving too fast on the Democratic social spending and climate bill.
